Essential details
ASTM 410S shows resistance to steam, alkaline solutions, acids such as - nitric acid, formic acid, oxalic acid, salts - nitrates, nitrites, carbonates, as well as hot fumes of petroleum, fuels, alcohols, ethers, food products, lubricants, water and oils.
The material is used for the production of rectification columns, cracking pipes, heat exchangers, parts of machinery and equipment in the food industry, and linings of pressure vessels. The steel does not show resistance to intergranular corrosion before and after welding.
